Jimkata’s innovative, fan-funded record Die Digital turned heads of critics, musicians and fans when it dropped late in the Fall of 2012, solidifying the band’s reputation as a forward-thinking artist to pay attention to. Having been a mainstay of the Northeast “jam circuit” for years, Jimkata’s refined “electro rock” sound – one of a band that has found it’s voice after years of experimentation – is in many ways more “indie rock” than jam, more 90′s dance than EDM, more lyrical than instrumental, yet the band manages to keep the jam, EDM and technically advanced instrumental elements intact as it carves out a new path for themselves and many of their peers who were inspired by Die Digital.
