Fresh off a successful first Collectors’ Expo in September, a second Collectors & Artisans Expo has been scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, in the historic Buffalo Irish Center, 245 Abbott Road, South Buffalo.
“We’re very excited to be bringing the Expo back to Buffalo’s Irish Heritage District just one week before the city celebrates St. Patrick’s Day,” said Joe Kirchmyer of West Seneca, organizer of the event. “We are currently accepting new vendors who can bring interesting items to the Expo such as sports memorabilia, coins, stamps, antiques, original artwork, handcrafted goods, trains, toys, bottles, comic books, music and theatre memorabilia, and more.”
Antique appraisals by Water Valley Antiques will be offered during the March event. The cost will be $2 per item, or a maximum of three appraisals for $5. The September event featured an autograph signing with former Buffalo Bills great Andre Reed and current Buffalo Bandits star Dhane Smith, with additional appearances being planned for the March 10 Expo.
Admission at the door will be just $2 per person. Food will also be available for purchase during the event thanks to the Irish Center kitchen staff. Additionally, 100% of the door proceeds will be donated to three South Buffalo organizations: Bishop Timon St. Jude High School, Mount Mercy Academy and the Buffalo Irish Center.
Eight-foot tables are available to rent at a cost of $35 for one, $70 for two, $100 for three or $125 for four. Individual six-foot tables will also be available for $30 each. For more information or to reserve a table, please contact Joe Kirchmyer at jkirchmyer@verizon.net.
