It's really hard to feel fashionable and cute in the winter.  Like, really, really hard. There's nothing sexy about wearing 20 layers of clothing plus a gigantic jacket and clunky boots to try and stay warm while you are trudging through the snow…unless you are into that sort of thing.

 

Luckily, for those of us who are NOT into the abominable snowman look, I have finally found a fantastic jacket that helps me stay nice and toasty warm in the bitter cold weather and has the added bonus of looking adorable! 

 

Enter the fur-lined hooded parka.  This coat is everywhere in stores right now, particularly in this great army green color.  One of the major things that I love about these parkas is the length.  It’s long enough to cover the booty, but not so long that it looks matronly and frumpy.  It’s really hard to find a warm coat that is long enough to prevent a frosty tush!  Another great thing about these parkas is the fur-lined hood.  I mean, come on.  This hood just screams cozy-chic…you’ll totally feel like a cute little snow bunny in your fancy faux-fur hood.

 

A  really great feature that a lot of these parkas have are the bonus drawstrings that are able to be cinched in the waist to make the parka more form fitting so your body shape doesn’t disappear under the coat.  Many of these also have really large pockets, and lots of them.  You are able to load your pockets up with all sorts of necessities for your winter jaunts, whether it be toys for your kids, waste bags for your dogs, or snacks for yourself (hey, a girl’s gotta eat!)
