The UB Bulls defeated the Akron Zips last night in front of an intense crowd at Alumni Arena. Senior gaurd Josh Freelove led the team in points with a career high 21 points. Foward Javon Mccrea added 20 points to go along with 13 boards and was just two assists short of a triple-double.
Buffalo shot 63 percent from the field and controlled the lead for most of the game , jumping ahead of the Zips by 14 at one point. The Bulls did allow the Zips to comeback to within three points with just over two minutes remaining, but then finised Akron off by scoring seven straight.
