Jessica Mascle has been studying and practicing ayurveda and yoga for twenty years. She is a RYT-200 and is an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist certified through the Himalayan Institute in Buffalo, NY.
She spends a lot of time practicing yoga and studying Ayurveda - the ancient holistic medical system that promotes health on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Its methods of healing include: diet, herbs, exercise, lifestyle regiments, asana postures, and meditation.
At Root and Rise Ayurveda, Jessica teaches others to live an ayurvedic lifestyle. This entails learning about oneself at the elemental level - ether, air, fire, water, and earth. Jessica works with others to help them understand the unique proportions of each element within, and to strategize on how to create greater balance in life through diet, routines, hobbies, and yoga.
Jessica has also made a deep commitment to raising the consciousness of inner city youth and taught American History for over 15 years here in the City of Buffalo. To her, the purpose of education is to transform a society filled with violence and oppression into one where justice and peace prevail. To combine her passions, Jessica teaches yoga and mindfulness meditation to her students.
