Hosta Show
Sunday 9th Jun, 2019
Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens
2655 South Park Avenue Buffalo, NY 14218Hostas are America’s favorite perennial, and because they are grown and exhibited more for their diverse foliage than their flowers, it is difficult to exhibit the whole plant.
Hosta lovers show single, well groomed, leaves in vases. Hundreds of leaves that differ in size, shape, form and color will be on show. These will be judged the previous day by Master Judges from North Eastern USA and then displayed in large groups.
Troughs, trays and pots, artfully planted with small hostas and companion plants, will also be displayed. Artistic flower arrangements incorporating hosta leaves will again be displayed.
