Mexican Movements: Carlos Mérida and his Compeñeros will include works from internationally known Mexican artists, including Carlos Merida, Jesus Escobedo and Raul Anguiano , courtesy of Martji More, a well known, local art collector.   

Merida, Anguiano and Escobedo were members of some of the same antifascist political and indigenous inspired art movements in the 1930s and 40s in Mexico, as the great Mexican muralists Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco and David Siqueiros.  That they are internationally known is no exaggeration; their work can be found in the Modern Museums of Art in New York and Mexico City, among many other prestigious modern museums worldwide.
