Opening Reception: Jozef Bajus, "Gold Rush"

Join us on M&T Fourth Friday September 28, 2018 for the opening of "Gold Rush" by Jozef Bajus; the opening reception will run from 5-8pm, with artists speaking about their work promptly at 6pm. 

In "Gold Rush" Jozef Bajus makes sculpture out of the debris of contemporary culture. His work imagines another future for that which is too often discarded. He rejects the notion that the act of “disposal” ends one’s societal obligation. By investigating the production processes of TriMain businesses as well as the refuse from such production, Bajus constructs original objects that bring new understanding to the possibilities that lie within what is too often discarded.
