David Schuyler, PhD will speak on “President Millard Fillmore and Frederick Law Olmsted: The Beginning of the American Park Movement.” His lecture will explore how President Fillmore, who began and ended his public career in Buffalo and used his influence and leadership to promote the park and parkway plans that Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux prepared for his hometown.
