Buffalo Bash
Friday 5th Jun, 2015
In a sure sign that summer is finally coming, the Western New York Chapter of the American Red Cross is gearing up for the 17th annual BASH on Friday, June 5.
Just over 4,000 people will wear their best military gear to the American Red Cross headquarters at 786 Delaware Avenue to enjoy food and drink from some of the area’s best restaurants while dancing the night away to the music of Signature Entertainment’s DJs and a live performance by national recording artist Caitlin Koch. There will also be a tribute to longtime BASH musical guest and Buffalo icon, the late Lance Diamond.
BASH*2015 guests will also have the opportunity to bid on dozens of unique auction items donated by members of the Western New York community, including vacations, original works of art, jewelry and much more. All proceeds from The BASH support the American Red Cross mission of preventing, preparing for and responding to disaster in Western New York. BASH*2014 raised over $300,000 to support Red Cross Emergency Services. Last year, Red Cross volunteers provided housing, food, clothing and comfort for 625 Western New York families after 383 fires and other incidents, and dollars raised by The BASH helped provide 603 overnight shelter stays, served 6,696 meals and snacks and distributed 3,939 relief items in response to the Western New York Snowstorm of November 2014.
