The walk will benefit the Kidney Foundation of WNY. The event honors those who face kidney disease and calls attention to the effects of kidney disease in Western New York.

The walk route is about one mile and begins at 10 a.m. the day of the event. The 5K run will follow a USATF-certified 5K course beginning on Fuhrmann Boulevard. Race timing will be administered by Race Management Solutions, Inc. The run starts at 8:30 a.m. 5K race medals will be given to the top 3 finishers in each category. Both routes will travel along the scenic Outer Harbor.

Participants can join or create a team of eight to 15 members, with a group fundraising goal of $1,000. Teams can include walkers and runners. Participants may also register individually. Register or donate online.
