Lincoln’s Birthday Celebration
The Buffalo History Museum will once again partner with the Buffalo Civil War Roundtable and Union Volunteers Fife and Drum Corps for the longest running celebration of President Lincoln's birthday in the nation! This year marks 150 years since the Buffalo pharmacist Julius Francis first commemorated President Lincoln's birthday in the first such posthumous celebration in the United States. This free event includes a short program, a Lincoln orator delivering the 16th president's words, and uniformed Civil War reenactors performing a rifle salute. Enjoy a piece of complimentary birthday cake!
