Anthony 'Tony" Ralabate, 38, was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He graduated from Bennett High School in 1996. Tony loved playing sports and was on the All High Basebal lTean for three years. He became a well-known member of the North Buffalo community. At the young age of 32, he was diagnosed with diabetes and sarcoidosis. Within time, these two diseases progressively destroyed his kidneys, causing him to suffer from end stage renal disease. Tony has now been on hemodialysis for a year and six months. As a result he is unable to work and at 38 years young, his quality of life has diminished significantly. Renal disease is all too familiar to Tony because his late mother, Katie Ralabate, suffered from the disease as well. More recently, he underwent surgery to remove his parathyroid glands. With this, came with many complications, such as calcium depletion, putting him as risk for cardiac arrest and causing him to experience his first ever siezure. Tony is currently searching for a compatible kidney donor.
