This talented ensemble will feature female jazz and pop vocals by Carolyn Lansom, accompanied by Bass, Guitar, Piano, and horn. You will love the song choice and the intimate atmosphere at Pausa!

Carolyn Lansom is a multifaceted vocalist who draws from her wide range of experiences to craft a memorable performance, she is excited to return to the Pausa Stage this fall! The show will feature jazz, pop, and favorites that showcase her vocal range, style, and ability as well as a feature song for each musician. She loves to take a song from the past do it justice and respectfully make it her own. If you’ve seen her before you know that she crafts wonderful arrangements and you can expect to hear a few new tunes at this show!

Her Main Stage performance at The Northwest Jazz Festival with the group My Cousin Tone’ won the Most Memorable Performance for the 2024 (9th annual) Jazz Buffalo Readers poll, additionally, her trio Dozo My Lady, was named the 2023 favorite jazz and pop group in that same poll.

Earning her BFA in Theater Performance from Niagara University helped her polish her voice and introduced her to some of the great jazz tunes she has grown to love. Then when life led her and Dave to Japan, Carolyn tried her hand as a jazz singer and never stopped. Additionally, she maintains a position in the critically acclaimed choir of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Music remains a part of her life just like it used to be thanks to her supportive family. Her two little girls love watching Mommy sing, The Lansom family band is gonna be pretty cool someday!

Her influences are Norah Jones, Etta James, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and many more. Thank you to the Pausa team for a memorable evening of music!
