On Friday November 8th, El Batey is excited to host Beto Torrens for an intensive workshop on Afro-Caribbean Rumba, with a focus on it's development in Puerto Rico.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn and participate in the folkloric tradition of Rumba, and for musicians who want to expand their knowledge of Afro-Caribbean rhythms.

We will host an open jam and El Batey's 1st Bomplenazo after the workshop; come enjoy different styles of Puerto Rican folklore to start off the holiday season! $20 admission to the complete event (workshop and after-party), and a $5 suggested donation for the Bomplenazo solo. 261 Swan St. Buffalo (off street parking available).
