Buffalo favorite Norman Krieger joins Maestro Falletta and the ensemble as piano soloist in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 on October 7 & 9. One of the central pieces in the piano repertoire, the Concerto is set in traditional classical concerto style, featuring three movements.
A native of Los Angeles, Norman Krieger is one of the most acclaimed pianists of his generation, highly regarded as an artist of depth, sensitivity and virtuosic flair. The program also features works by Philippe Gaubert and Carl Nielsen.
These concerts include the first of the BPO’s popular Coffee Concerts on Friday, October 7 at 10:30am and the first Sunday matinee on October 9 at 2:30pm. There is no Saturday evening performance in observance of Yom Kippur.
