Lillian Hellman’s most popular play is a powerful commentary on corruption and rampant greed. In a small town in the deep South in 1900, both generations of the Hubbard family, trapped in a cycle of revenge, steal, deceive and plot against each other in their rivalry for money and power. With characters as fascinating as they are evil, the twists and turns of the plot make for a gripping and suspenseful dramatic experience.
