The Path was formed in 2006, by musicians Lanee Bianca and John Eberle to write and perform their rock based folk sounding original music. The first song that was produced was entitled Freedom, which is also the title of their upcoming CD. Joining the band later that year with his unique style of bass playing was Gene Chaas. In the following year of 2007, joining the band with his driving force of percussion was John Wheatherby on drums.
The Path has played throughout WNY performing both popular covers and their powerful originals. In 2010, the band released a single entitled "In My World". This song was inspired by Lanee's son Matthew who was diagnosed with Autism. The mission of the song is to promote awareness of Autism along with other developmental disabilities. Proceeds from the song's sales were donated to The Buffalo Women and Children's Hospital Autism Center to help improve the waiting rooms.
After nearly 10 years , several personnel changes the "original" Path is ready to release their first full length, all original CD called Freedom.
