The world's largest game jam event will take place simultaneously in Buffalo and at hundreds of sites around the world. Think of it as a hackathon focused on game development. The secret theme will be announced on Friday afternoon, and gamers around the globe will then begin feverishly working to create a full-fledged computer game in just 48 hours.

In January 2015, more than 500 locations in 78 countries created 5439 games in one weekend!

The FREE jam helps foster new friendships, increases confidence and opportunities within the community. It is always an intellectual challenge. Participants are invited to explore new technology tools, try on new roles in development and test their skills to do something that requires them to design, develop create, test and make a new game in the time span of 48 hours. The GGJ stimulates collaboration and is not a competition.

Buffalo Game Space will be open around the clock, and drinks and snacks will be provided. 18+ event.
