One of the most highly-anticipated design events in Buffalo is now open. The Junior League of Buffalo Decorators Show House opened its doors for public and private tours this past Saturday at 164 Lincoln Parkway in Buffalo. The event takes place every other year and this is the 18th house co-sponsored by the Junior League of Buffalo and The Buffalo News.
The house features 43 decorated spaced by local designers and companies both inside and out. Decorated rooms include the front and back patios, thrid floor game room, walk-in closets, bedrooms, kitchen, laundry room, sitting areas, hallways and more.
Private tours are available Mondays and allow visitors to walk through the house on a guided tour by appointment. Tuesdays through Fridays the house is open from 10:00am - 12:30pm and 6:00pm-8:30pm by general admission. Saturdays and Sunday hours are 10:00am - 4:00pm. Tickets are $25 and are available here. The house is not wheelchair accessible and no children under 10 are allowed.
This year there is a Cultural Campus Collaboration where if you tour the show house, you receive a variety of discounts to local cultural organizations in the area including The Buffalo Zoo, Burchfield Art Center, Graycliff Estate, the Botanical Gardens and others. Visitors are invited to bring toiletries for men, women and children to be donated to the local community.
