St. Bonaventure University Rugby is a member of Rugby East, competing for the ACRC title in the Fall and playing Sevens in the Spring. The coming 2014-15 season will be the inaugural campaign at the D1-A level for the Bonnies. In 2012-13 the Bonnies advanced to the USA Rugby Elite Eight and also won the Empire Conference Sevens championship. Competing in Division II during the club's early years, the team formerly known as the Outlaws won state championships in 1993, 1998, 2004, 2007 and 2008, before moving to Division 1 in 2009.
