Exhilarating and authentic family-friendly indoor karting entertainment facility comes to town!

Starting November 20th 2013, Pole Position Raceway, America’s leading chain of state-of-the-art indoor motorsports entertainment facilities will open to the public at the Walden Galleria for individual use, celebrations, parties, and corporate event rentals.

Located on the second floor adjacent to the Regal Cinemas, Pole Position Raceway features high-performance Italian-designed karts which can reach speeds of 45 mph. All of the karts are powered by electric engines containing zero emission technology - a safe and green experience for riders and onlookers alike. This will be the eleventh location featuring the Pole Position Raceway name with the site in Syracuse's Carousel Mall being the closest to Buffalo.

The company has hired and trained 40 local team members to manage the operations and ensure the best racing experience possible. The facility boasts a 46,000 square foot space housing a 1/4 mile track as well as a V.I.P space with televisions and pool tables, known as The Grand Prix Paddock. There is a smaller room - The Grand Prix Pit, also available to rental and the entire facility can accommodate as many as 300+ people. With direct access from the parking lot, the space is maximized to be able to host group events with convenient drops-offs.

Parents need not be concerned as Pole Position Raceway offers a variety of options to suit the needs and experience level of all drivers. Drivers are grouped by height into a junior kart for kids at least 48 inches tall, and an adult kart for those at least 58 inches tall. With safety in mind, drivers compete against the clock with a computer charting your speed and lap times, thus avoiding dangerous 'rub' racing as seen in NASCAR events.

Each exhilarating race consists of 14 laps around a euro-style style racetrack complete with multiple hairpin turns! Prior to the race participants review racing rules with the staff and are given full helmets for maximum safety. These helmets are the real deal, and help contribute to the sense that you are in a real Formula 1 race. After the race drivers are given a stat sheet of their times and racing skill level to compare with friends for ever-important bragging rights. 

The overall design of the space, as well as the authentic racing memorabilia contribute to the atmosphere. They also offer air hockey, football toss, basketball hoops game systems, as well as other arcade gaming options and a refreshment cafe for snacks and beverages. Large parties will be catered by local businesses such as local favorite Orazio's.
