5th Annual Edible Book Festival

The festival will be held at the Western New York Book Arts Center, 468 Washington Street in downtown Buffalo, on Sunday, April 14th, 2013 from 4-8pm. This exciting and family friendly event invites community members to create and exhibit 100% edible books. The books are exhibited, documented, judged, and consumed.
Local celebrity judges are enlisted to select the winners. Prizes will be awarded and winners will be announced at approximately 7pm in the categories of: Best Book, Best Tasting, and Most Creative. Everyone is allowed to partake in eating the exhibits after judging.
Those who wish to enter an edible book can do so by visiting WNYBAC’s website: http://wnybookarts.org/events/ or by stopping into the Western New York Book Arts Center during the hours of 12-6pm, Wednesday-Saturday at 468 Washington Street in downtown Buffalo. Registration will be accepted until Saturday, April 13th, 2013 at noon.
International Edible Book Festival is a yearly event held on or around April 1 throughout the world. This event unites bibliophiles, book artists, and food lovers to celebrate the ingestion of culture and its fulfilling nourishment. All books exhibited are 100% edible and handmade. Proceeds from ticket sales, entry fees, and basket raffles go towards ongoing programming at the WNY Book Arts Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
