The University Heights Arts Association seeks garden-related art for use on the 2016 Capen Garden Walk poster as well as a related summertime exhibition at Amy's Place Restaurant.  It is free to enter your artwork and a prize of $100 will be awarded for first place. Additional prizes will be awarded to the second and third place winners. Anyone may enter.

The theme for this year’s competition is “The Beauty in our Backyard.” Painting, photography, drawing, illustration, mixed media and digital art will be considered.  Entries are due by Saturday Jan. 23, 2016.  Get submission details and an entry form here.

The top 25 selected works will be exhibited in neighborhood venues including Buffalo and Lewiston from June 22 to July 28 as part of the UHAA Arts Crawl Partnering Program. The Samuel P. Capen Garden Walk, which showcases gardens in the University District of Buffalo and Eggertsville, will be held from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, July 16.
