On Sept 24th Devi Bollywood Dance will host Bharata Natyam, South Indian Classical Dance~For New Audineces. The program will be performed by dancer Jaan R. Freeman who performs in the rare style and lineage of the late great dancer T. Balasaraswati. Freeman a disciple of Smt. Nandini Ramani and Smt. Priyamvada Sankar who are both senior disciples of T. Balasaraswati.

Freeman has been touring with this program since 2008 to introduce and build new audiences to this great art. The program will feature items of the repertoire to give the spectator a glimpse  into the range of Bharata Natyam.Mr. Freeman will narrate and have an interactive dialogue with the audience throughout the program.

On Sunday Sept 25th there will be a workshop in the fundamentals of Bharata Natyam from 11am-12:30pm &

 from 1-3:30pm Intensive Class for those with a dance background of 2 years or more
