Larkin Gallery Anniversary Celebration
Thursday 7th Jun, 2018
Larkin Gallery celebrates it one-year anniversary by showcasing the new acquisition of a scale model miniature of the Larkin Administration Building.
The donation of an extraordinary model of the Larkin Company Administration Building, highlights the celebration of the one-year anniversary of the Larkin Gallery located at the Larkin Center of Commerce, 701 Seneca Street in the historic Larkinville district. Arlan Peters, a retired Riverside High School school teacher painstakingly built a model of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Larkin Administration building based on the original building plans and by poring over hundreds of historic photos. Peters spent more than one thousand hours on this project, creating a stunning replica of this lost treasure.
Mr. Peters has donated his labor of love to the Larkin Gallery and the model is now on view in the lobby of the Larkin Center of Commerce.
A special acknowledgement of Arlan Peter’s donation will be part of the program celebrating the anniversary of the Larkin Gallery. The public is invited to the free program and a reception, catered by the new Eckl’s@Larkin restaurant, on Thursday, June 7, from 5pm - 6:30pm. The Gallery is located on the first floor of the Larkin Center of Commerce.
