Mark Goldman - Two Books and Two Families @ JCC Book & Arts Fair
Monday 4th Jun, 2018
Mark Goldman has written a new book! Like The ALBRIGHT: The Life and Times of John J. Albright, the lushly illustrated biography of one of Buffalo’s most important and least known industrialists, Goldman employed a narrative framework rooted in inquiry to write Tillie: A New York Girl 1906-2001, scheduled for release in September. Only instead of telling the powerful stories of someone else's family, he has written the story of his own family. Tillie is his mother. Both books use photographs to help tell their stories, and both reveal a great deal about the cities and times in which their protagonists lived--Buffalo in the early 1900s and 20th century New York City.
Mark will lead you through the process he used to write these books, and share with you the stuinning photographs which add so much to the narrative. Be the first to own a signed, numbered copy of Tillie, and have Mark sign a copy of ALBRIGHT for you, as well.
Book sale/signing and reception to follow author presentation.
