Kevin Powell is one of America’s leading voices in these early years of the 21st century. He has lectured and performed humanitarian and civil rights work in America, and internationally. As an award-winning writer Kevin is the author/editor of 11 books, including his latest, Barack Obama, Ronald Reagan, and The Ghost of Dr. King, a collection of blogs and essays that explores the politics and culture of America in the era of President Obama. Kevin’s writings have appeared in a range of publications, including Newsweek, The Washington Post, CNN.com, Ebony, Essence, Esquire, Rolling Stone, The Huffington Post, and Vibe, where he worked for several years as a senior writer.
