Art and Activism: Examining the ways visual, performing, and literary arts can affect social, political, and economic change within communities. 

Part of M&T Bank Fourth Friday at the Tri-Main Center

Artists, administrators, and educators will discuss their specific experiences as artist, activists, and placemakers. Moderators will pose questions investigating the impact of the arts as an effective form of activism. Participants will be encouraged to help formulate a list of best practices as well as lessons learned. Representatives from Open Buffalo, Buffalo Arts Studio, and the panelists themselves will be available for a question and answer session.
