Roll the Bones is an exhibit of new works by Tom Holt, a lifelong skateboarder and artist. As an artist Holt unites his passions by drawing, painting, and applying serigraphy directly onto skateboard decks. Skateboarding is a platform for expression where imagery and symbols customize each board. Holt’s exhibition is a display of his personal works along with a video element highlighting the audio and visual beauty of skateboarding, that contextualizes his 2D and 3D works.
Tom Holt is a painter, muralist, and installation artist born in Carmel, N.Y. He received a BS in visual arts at the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2002. That same year, he moved to Buffalo, N.Y., where he became one of the founders of Kamikaze Gallery & Media Center, a live/work space in downtown Buffalo.
