Second Friday at the Burchfield-Penney: WNY Playwrights Celebrate the Work of Charles Burchfield

Presented with three Burchfield images: December Light, Snow Patterns, and The Horn Call from Sibelius Fifth, Western New York playwrights were invited to use one (or two, if a member of the Dramatists Guild) of the pieces to inspire a play of no more than ten minutes. The anonymous entries were sent to three judges, whose scores and comments were used to select the nine plays presented.

WNY Playwrights Celebrate the Work of Charles Burchfield is a collaboration between the Dramatists Guild and the Burchfield Penney Art Center.

A Drop-in Art Making Workshop will take place from 5:30–7:30pm, and Laurie Bordonaro & the Bobby Jones Trio will perform from 5:30-7:30pm.
