Torn Space Theater premieres a new three-day performance installation by long-time collaborators, Tim Stegner and Frank Napolski. Security runs April 27 through 29 at the resident theater of Torn Space, located at 612 Fillmore Ave. Buffalo, NY 14212. The piece features 12 paid security guards as performers, with a data-driven sound and lighting design overlaying their movements. Exploring the basic elements of performance, Stegner and Napolski challenge the norms of observer and observed in this “readymade” performance.
A continuous installation, audiences are welcome to remain for the three hour duration, or to enter and exit as they please throughout the evening.
