Just Buffalo will lead the city in reading Dinaw Mengestu’s award-winning novel, The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears. This year’s kick off at the GSNC will feature Abyssinia Ethiopian Cuisine (West Side Bazaar).

PUSH Buffalo is thrilled to be collaborating with Just Buffalo Literary Center to kick off this year’s Big Read program at the Grant Street Neighborhood Center (GSNC). The Big Read, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts “broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book.”  Selected by the NEA to take part in the program, youth from GSNC performing African dance and drumming.
