468 Washington Street Buffalo, NY 14203On Saturday, July 28, 2012 The Western New York Book Arts Center will host Buffalo BookFest, a day-long festival dedicated to printmaking and the book arts. The festival will feature an artists’ market and a complete schedule of outdoor adult and kid-friendly hands-on demonstrations of the book arts, including steamroller printmaking! Buffalo BookFest will take place at the Western New York Book Arts Center, 468 Washington Street in downtown Buffalo, from 10am until 5pm on Saturday, July 28, 2012. This will be WNYBAC’s largest event yet and is free and open to the public.
Buffalo BookFest artists’ market will highlight Western New York’s most talented writers, artisans, and crafts people. Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase locally handmade goods including hand-bound books, letterpress prints, small press publications, and loads of handmade items! The market will be held on the ground floor of the Western New York Book Arts Center and will feature over 20 vendors.
The hands-on demonstrations featured at Buffalo Bookfest will be held both inside and outside of the WNY Book Arts Center. A complete schedule will soon be available on the WNYBAC website (www.wnybookarts.org). Demonstrations will include bookbinding, letterpress printing, marbled paper, outdoor steamroller printmaking, papermaking, calligraphy, and more.
