14207 Day
Saturday 5th Aug, 2017
14207 Day is a celebration of the past, present and future of the Black Rock and Riverside neighborhoods of Buffalo, New York. On August 5th, 2017, Western New York is invited to come and experience the many cultural, historic and the many new additions to an area of Buffalo that is on the rise!
14207 Day isn't a festival. It's an invitation to explore our community, with participating events such as The Riverside Tour of Gardens, live music, restaurant specials, giveaways and a long list of other great events from participating vendors and locations. It's a community-wide event taking place in the Black Rock, Riverside and West Hertel neighborhoods on August 5th, 2017! 14207 Day is a collaboration between the businesses, community organizations, leaders and others to showcase the communities in the 14207 zipcode, drawing attention to our great culture, history, people, and the many great things our community has to offer.
On August 5, our community will be bursting with great activities and even greater deals! Participating restaurants will have amazing 14207 Day specials (ala Restaurant Week), the wonderful Riverside Tour of Gardens will be taking place, historic tours of the beautiful architecture of 14207 will be available, screenings of national films shot in the neighborhood, live music, crafts, giveaways and so many more great things to be announced in the coming weeks!
North District Council Member Joseph Golombek envisioned the idea of an event that showcases 14207 earlier this year and has partnered with volunteers and community organizers like the members of the Riverside Tour of Gardens to organize this years very first 14207 Day. “If it has been a while since you’ve visited us, now is the time,” said Golombek. “Come see these great neighborhoods on the rise, revisit your old neighborhood, and get to know the 14207 a little better!”
