1285 Elmwood Avenue Buffalo, NY 14222Join Partnership for the Public Good for their tenth anniversary celebration of beauty and democracy. This special evening will feature music from Drea d'Nur, dance from Differential Flava Crew of Verve Dance Studio, poetry from Olga Karman and Carl Dennis, Sam Magavern on "One Nation Under a Groove," and participatory art making.
We're coming together to ask, "How can democracy be more beautiful?" and "How can beauty be more democratic?" This evening of performance will reflect on these questions, and celebrate the work and wins of PPG's partners over the last decade!
This event is free and open to the public.
ABOUT PPG:
Partnership for the Public Good is a community-based think tank that builds a more just, sustainable, and culturally vibrant Buffalo Niagara through action-oriented research, policy development, and citizen engagement.
Since 2007, we’ve helped restore physical education and recess to Buffalo public schools, raise the state minimum wage, make state funding for Western New York’s public transit more equitable, improve conditions at the Erie County Holding Center, create a Food Policy Council at the City of Buffalo, restore county funding for smaller arts and culture groups, and improve language access to city and county services for immigrants and refugees, among other wins with our 268 partners.
