Buffalo Civil War Roundtable: Lives of Commissioned Officers in the Civil War

The Buffalo Civil War Roundtable will host a lecture titled “From Lieutenants to Generals: The Lives of Commissioned Officers in the United States Infantry during the Civil War” by Kevin O’Beirne. This PowerPoint presentation will cover the roles, responsibilities & everyday life of commissioned officers in the Union Army as well as an overview of their uniforms & equipment.
Kevin O’Beirne is a professional engineer from Hamburg, NY working as an environmental engineering consultant. He has published over 20 magazine & newspaper articles on the Civil War & is a co-author of the book The Columbia Rifles Research Compendium. Mr. O’Beirne has been a Civil War re-enactor for 20 years with the 155th NY & the Columbia Rifles.

This program will be held at a NEW LOCATION- Cheektowage Senior Center, 3349 Broadway, Cheektowaga, NY 14227. Also note this program will be at 7:30PM
