Love books? Love food? You'll love this fundraiser for Brighton Place: A Community Resource Center, a library rescued by the community it serves. Now that's love. Enjoy live music, food whipped up by Buffalo's finest celebrity chefs, wine tasting, basket raffles, and silent and live auctions, including prizes donated by the very best businesses in the area.

Brighton Place Library is an independent, non-profit library and community center at 999 Brighton Rd. in Tonawanda, NY. Cooks for Books is the 11th anniversary event since the Brighton Library was shut down by the county due to lack of funds. The community banded together and reopened it as Brighton Place Library and Resource Center, offering story timed for childern, knitting clubs, adult coloring sessions, a speaker series, visiting art displays, a book club, senior informational meetings and some senior lunches among other programs, all with a part time staff funded by donations. 

Cooks for Books will take place on Thursday, May 26, 6:00pm at Banchetti By Rizzo's, 550 N. French Rd, Amherst, NY.

Tickets are $50. Pay by cash or check at the library or by credit card or PayPal.
