For the second year in a row, numerous Grant St. businesses will be banding together to raise money to benefit Journey's End. Participating retailors have all agreed to donate a portion of their sales on May 11 and helping to raise awareness for the ongoing need to support refugee resettlement agencies in Buffalo. Since 1985, Journey's End Refugee Services has been welcoming refugees to Buffalo without regard to ethnic origin or creed and has been assisting them to become healthy, independent, contributing members of the community. Grant St. retailors are proud of the thousands of regfugees Journeys End has served whom we now call neighbors. We remain committed to serving them in a time when they are most in need of safety, friendship, and a place to call home. We’ve experienced firsthand how refugee resettlement has revitalized our community, how our newest neighbors have enriched our community as they rebuild their lives. We also know that there is still a lot of work to do - work that requires funding.
