Light the Night
Saturday 4th Jun, 2016
Have you lost someone you love to the opioid/heroin crisis? Light the Night is an opportunity to come together as a community to remember all those who we have lost by bringing light to the night.
Families will receive LED tealights to light and there will be a Memorial Canvas "Wall" where the names of loved ones can be written. This canvas wall is portable, and will be displayed by Save The Michaels of the World at prevention and education forums.
The evening's speakers will be Avi Israel, Senator Tim Kennedy, Assemblyman Sean Ryan, and Councilmember Joel Feroleto. Music by G & N Sound.
It has been five years since the passing of Michael David Israel; please join Save the Michaels of the World to remember him, and all those we have lost by bringing light to the night. Their light burns bright and forever in our hearts.
This event is free and family-friendly.
If you cannot make it to the Japanese Garden for Light the Night, submit the name of your loved one and it will be written on the canvas wall for you.
