A vibrant celebration of the entire LGBTQ community, Buffalo & WNY’s Pride Parade features floats, performances, and participants from over 100 organizations. Awards are presented each year for outstanding entries.
NEW PARADE ROUTE!
After some difficulty lining up in years past, we have worked with the City of Buffalo and Buffalo State College to coordinate parade line-up on the Buffalo State campus. We're sure this will lend itself to a safer environment and be more convenient for our many parade participants. For spectators, the parade begins at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Forest Avenue and continues down Elmwood, ending at the corner of Allen Street. Participants and attendees are encouraged to take the NFTA train from either the Allen Street/Medical Campus Station or the Fountain Plaza Station district to the Pride Festival at Canalside.
Additional information for organizations that are interested in participating is available on our Pride Parade Registration Page.
AWARDS
Participants are encouraged to incorporate the 2014 theme into their designs. Awards are presented each year for outstanding entries and include "Best Overall," "Most Creative," and "Best Interpretation of Theme (Out Loud)."
