Rise Strong on International Day of the Girl with Girls Education Collaborative!   

Please join us and together, we’ll build better futures for the world’s girls!  Girls Education Collaborative, a Buffalo-based organization working globally to bring education to girls who need it most, is holding their signature annual event this year on the International Day of the Girl, October 11th.   

All proceeds from this event will help build a second dormitory for the Kitenga School for Girls in Tanzania - so 120 more girls can have the opportunity of a lifetime.   

Thursday, October 11, 2018, 6-8pm at the Atrium at 500 Seneca Street Buffalo, NY  

 This years event will feature a raffle and silent auction with African & student inspired items; Chef Louise’s samosas, appetizers and wine & beer.

GEC works to equip girls to transcend their circumstances, realize their fullest potential, and become catalysts for change via partnerships that support education-centered and community-driven initiatives.  GEC's pilot project is in partnership with the Immaculate Heart Sisters of Africa to develop an extraordinary school-based experience for girls- The Kitenga School for Girls in north west Tanzania.  The school welcomed its first class in 2017 and will continue adding classes until the secondary school reaches its goal of 480 students.  The dorm is essential so the Kitenga School for girls can continue to welcome students to be part of this very special school.
