This free, hands-on music fest celebrates the relationship between dance and drum. Join some of the most enthusiastic drummers and dancers in the region for a day of culturally significant art attractions. Learn the rhythms of life, through the primal beats of the drum. Let loose along the water, with friends and family.

This free event will include instructional group drumming and dance by the Slyboots School of Music, as well as art demos to bring together a diverse group of people to celebrate waterfront development in Buffalo. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and pack a picnic. Take the Metro Rail and walk over, or ride your bike. You can even arrive by kayak or canoe. Riverfest is an easy bike ride from Canalside, with all new bike lanes guiding you right to your destination.

The event is free, but donations are welcome. The West Size Bazaar Food Cart will be on hand.
