Join us every Monday at the big yellow Adirondack chair at Canalside from July 10th thru August 14th when Niagara University sponsors a family literacy event from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Local teachers, librarians, pre-service teachers and authors will be sharing their favorite stories and giving free books to children. Volunteer to become a reader or plan to bring your family and friends to Canalside. You might even catch a special performance by the Niagara University Repertory Theatre who will be joining us throughout the summer!
Load up your book bag with your favorite books and request a time slot. You are welcome to request more than one day.
We are still looking for readers and hope you might volunteer. Why not get a group of your friends together to come to share a favorite story or two and stay for lunch? It would be a great way to spend time on the waterfront. Great food! Great view! Great way to share your love of reading with children!
