Join us for Toolfest 2017, a toolraising event that supports youth education classes at The Foundry. The Foundry is home to 35 product-based small businesses as well as four “makerspaces”: a woodshop, a tech shop, a textile studio, and a metal shop. The organization is in need of updated tools, supplies, and funding to continue offering business development and skill-building to the community. During Tool Fest, The Foundry accepts donations of tools to be used by its growing community of “makers.” (The Foundry’s 2017 tool wish list is available here.)

This year’s Tool Fest is sponsored by Northwest Bank. The event will also feature hands-on activities including laser engraving, plasma cutting and 3D printing, a silent auction, food and drink.  Entrance to the event will cost $10 per person. Those who bring a tool to donate will get free entry as well as a complimentary drink ticket. Guests are asked to RSVP online at thefoundrybuffalo.org/toolfest.

The event will take place 5:30pm to 8:00pm on Friday, Dec. 1, at The Foundry (298 Northampton St., Buffalo).
