UB on the Green, the university’s free outdoor performance series, is back for a 10th season to celebrate summer in the South Campus neighborhood.
The family-friendly, alcohol-free events, presented by the UB Office of Community Relations, will take place from 6-8 p.m. on July 20, July 27 and Aug. 3 on the Hayes Hall lawn on the South Campus. Free parking is available in the NFTA Park and Ride and Townsend lots. Spectators are encouraged to bring a picnic meal, lawn chairs and blankets. Light refreshments will be available for sale.
July 20: Unity in the Community & Care Fair Night. The series will open with an evening dedicated to health, wellness and community. Free health screenings and health and wellness information will be offered, along with fun activities. Back by popular demand, the Kenny Hawkins All Star Band will perform
July 27: Arts & Culture Night. Arts & Culture Night is a chance for the community to show off its artistic skills through interactive arts and crafts stations, while listening to the music of the Buffalo Afrobeat Orchestra
Aug. 3: Veterans & Athletics Night. The series will conclude with Veterans & Athletics Night, where participants can learn about local resources available through UB’s Office of Veteran Services, get ready for the fall sports season by meeting members of the UB Bulls teams and enjoy the classic sounds of the American Legion Band of the Tonawandas.
