Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

Crisis Services Advocate Program and The University at Buffalo are pleased to announce the 12th annual “Walk A Mile” will take place on Sunday, April 30th from 12:00 – 3:00pm starting in the parking lot of Crisis Services, 2969 Main St. at Hertel with a celebration full of activities and fun. The walk itself will start promptly at 1:00pm, heading ½  mile down Hertel to Starin Avenue, ending back at Crisis Services.

Walk a Mile asks men to literally walk one mile in women's high-heeled shoes. It's not easy walking in these shoes, but it’s fun and it gets the community to talk about something that's really difficult to talk about: gender relations and sexual violence. The walk will close out Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April) for 2017. Participants can walk as a team or individually. Go to crisisservices.org to sign up.
