About the Artist
Written largely in New York between Summer 2016 and Winter 2017, Josh Tillman’s fourth Father John Misty LP, God’s Favorite Customer, reflects on the experience of being caught between the vertigo of heartbreak and the manic throes of freedom.

God’s Favorite Customer reveals a bitter sweetness and directness in Tillman’s songwriting, without sacrificing any of his wit or taste for the absurd. From “Mr. Tillman,” where he trains his lens on his own misadventure, to the cavernous pain of estrangement in “Please Don’t Die,” Tillman plays with perspective throughout to alternating hilarious and devastating effect. “We’re Only People (And There’s Not Much Anyone Can Do About That)” is a meditation on our inner lives and the limitations we experience in our attempts to give and receive love. It stands in solidarity with the title track, which examines the ironic relationship between forgiveness and sin. Together, these are songs that demand to know either real love or what comes after, and as the album progresses, that entreaty leads to discovering the latter’s true stakes.

General Admission: $5.00, If you purchase tickets at any of the 17 WNY Consumers Beverages locations and on Canalside's Boardwalk (near the Whipple Truss Bridge), you will receive a coupon for a free beverage at the show (beer, wine, pop, or water). Beverage coupon is available for tickets only purchased at Consumers or Canalside (before 4PM on the day of the show) and can only be used on that specific show. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.com and at the door on the day of the show (5PM-9:30PM), however those tickets will not come with a drink coupon.

VIP tickets can be purchased at Canalside's Info Kiosk or online at Eventbrite.com. VIP tickets are available for $35.00 and include access to the VIP Honda Pavilion with seating, 2 beverages, free appetizers, private restrooms, front of stage viewing area and a souvenir mug. 

Seating is extremely limited and first come, first serve. Feel free to bring your own chair!
