International Guitar Night

“A magical evening,” is how Nikki Nelson described the International Guitar Night performance at Cowachan Theater in Duncan, British Columbia.
The St. Joe’s Visual and Performing Arts Department is proud to announce that, on February 15, for the third consecutive year, the International Guitar Night will bring this “magical evening” to the Cullen Center for the Arts, as the final concert of the 2014-15 St. Joe’s Concert Series.
The International Guitar Night brings together the world’s foremost acoustic guitarists to perform their latest original compositions and exchange musical ideas, all the while maintaining a “party” like atmosphere. Each tour, IGN founder Brian Gore invites a new cast of guitar luminaries for special evenings of solos, duets, and quartets that highlight the virtuosity and diversity within the world of acoustic guitar.
This year, Gore is joined by classical innovator and Grammy winner Andrew York of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Brazilian jazz icon Diego Figuierido, and Iranian-Canadian steel string wizard Maneli Jamal.
