Trumpeter Mark Filsinger will lead an all-star quintet featuring NYC-based musicians Bill Todd on alto saxophone and Alec Safy on bass. They will present many of the great songs performed and recorded by Chet Baker during his impressive 38-year career, including “I Fall In Love Too Easily,” “Like Someone in Love,” and “My Funny Valentine.” Mark Filsinger serves as Artistic Director of the Buffalo Jazz Collective and Assistant Professor of Music at SUNY Buffalo State. As a jazz trumpeter, Filsinger models much of his style after Baker and looks forward to paying homage to one of his musical heroes.
